Glued steel fiber, also known as hooked-end steel fiber, is a type of reinforcement material used in concrete and other construction applications. Glued steel fiber consists of small, discrete steel fibers with hooked ends that are coated or glued together to form bundles or mats.
Here are some key points about glued steel fiber:
Composition: Glued steel fiber is typically made from low-carbon steel wires that are cut, formed, and then coated or glued together at the ends. The hooked ends of the glued steel fiber provide mechanical anchorage within the concrete matrix.
Reinforcement: When added to concrete, glued steel fibers improve its mechanical properties by enhancing its tensile strength, flexural strength, impact resistance, and crack resistance. The glued steel fibers act as miniature reinforcement elements, distributing stress and preventing crack propagation.
Hooked-end Design: The hooked ends of the glued steel fibers are designed to interlock with the concrete matrix, creating a bond that improves the fiber's pull-out resistance. This design helps to prevent glued steel fiber dislodgment and enhances the overall performance of the reinforced concrete.
Applications: Glued steel fibers find applications in various concrete structures, including industrial floors, shotcrete, precast elements, tunnel linings, and composite metal decks. Glued steel fibers are particularly beneficial in areas where traditional reinforcement methods, such as steel bars or mesh, are challenging or not feasible.
Advantages: Glued steel fiber offers several advantages, such as ease of mixing and placement, increased durability, improved impact resistance, enhanced crack control, and reduced construction time and costs. Glued steel fiber also eliminates the need for traditional reinforcement installation, providing a more efficient and labor-saving solution.
Design Guidelines: The addition of glued steel fibers to concrete requires proper mix design and dosage considerations. Design guidelines and specifications provided by manufacturers should be followed to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with specific project requirements.
Glued steel fiber Description
DAYE cold drawn low carbon steel wire fiber is a special kind of metal fiber, in the concrete compressive strength, tensile strength, bending strength, impact strength, toughness, impact toughness and other properties have been trap improved. It is widely used in highway pavement, airport pavement, bridge pavement, bridge expansion joint, water conservancy and hydropower and other heavy large-scale infrastructure projects.
The steel fiber reinforced concrete price and steel fibers for concrete price is affordable, and there are discounts for bulk purchases.

GULED STEEL FIBER Economic Advantage
Ø 1.Concrete consumption can be reduced by 30% ~ 50% under the same strength;
Ø 2.Rebar partially or completely no needed anymore, or reduce the diameter of steel bar for1~2mm;
Ø 3.Construction cycle shortened by 25%, suitable for projects where continuous and fast concrete placing is required;
Ø 4. Mixing as conventional concrete, no extra equipment needed.
Main Functions
The tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete can be increased by 20%-50% and 40%-80% when appropriate steel fiber is added to concrete. Under the usual fiber dosage, impact compression toughness can be increased by 2-7 times, impact shear, tensile toughness can be increased by several times to dozens of times. Because of the crack resistance and integrity of steel fiber concrete, the freeze-thaw resistance, heat resistance, wear resistance, cavitation resistance and corrosion resistance have been significantly improved. Concrete collective itself is a kind of multi-phase, multi-component, non-uniform granular brittle composite material, its compressive ratio is only about one tenth, crack resistance is very low. The addition of steel fiber prevents the initiation of cracks and reduces the size and number of cracks. In the process of loading, the extension and expansion of cracks are inhibited, and the stress and concentration of cracks are alleviated.
