On March 14th, the Second National Conference on the Technological Development and Innovative Application of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) was grandly held in Wuhan, hosted by the Ultra-High Performance Cement-Based Materials and Engineering Technology Branch of China Concrete and Cement Products Association (CCPA-UHPC Branch). The "2024 China UHPC Industry Development Report" released by Zhao Yun, the Secretary-General of CCPA-UHPC Branch, shows that the annual consumption of UHPC in China has reached 200,000 cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 37%, and multiple technological breakthroughs have been achieved in fields such as bridge structures, wind turbine towers, and building curtain walls. Experts such as Professor Shao Xudong from Hunan University and Professor Ding Qingjun from Wuhan University of Technology delivered special reports on topics such as the innovation of UHPC bridge deck structures and the preparation of lightweight aggregate materials, demonstrating the broad prospects of UHPC in engineering applications.
